Good day!
I have a problem with my server board S5000PAL. I buy 2 new processors Quad Xeon E5440 but i can not get them start because i have a fatal error on bios "19A proccesor mismatch voltage". Bios version: S5000.86B.10.60.0091.10092008 (Processors supported: Quad-Core Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor 5400 series w/ 1066Mhz/1333Mhz FSB)
Please help me to solve my problem.
First, E5440 (sSpec #: SLBBJ, SLANS) are supported on S5000PAL.
Now! You see this error because you need to update your BIOS, FRUSDR and Firmware to enable support for Quad Xeon processors however S5000PAL does have some issues with the new Quad-core Xeons if the BMC has been updated to latest, refer to Pg 5 and 21 of the attached document.
To update BIOS, BMC and FRUSDR, here's the download page:
Also read the PROCESSOR ISSUES listed on the following URL:

Best of luck, let us know if the issue is still not resolved and we will assist you resolve it.

I too am having a problem with a Quad Core E5410 and a S5000PAL board. I have followed all of the steps that I have been able to find starting with Bios 88 BMC 63 and FRU 47. I still get Error code 19A Fatal Voltage mismatch. any ideas ?
Kind Regards

You need BIOS 91.6 from the link above, if you have the E0 step processors
Hi All
Thank you for quick response. My problem although unresolved does have an answer. Apparrently the S5000PAL boards need to be an R revision board to be able to take this processor. Mine is not!!
Kind regards

Good afternoon! We have changed BIOS s5000pal on s5000pal_dos_pkg_94_64_47. The problem remained, gives out the same error. When there will be a following updating BIOS? Our processors such: BX80574E5440A, S-SPEC: SLANS.
Hi there,
When you have this error message in the BIOS '19a - voltage mismatched', this is because you have a non-refresh board. It will never go this error message as the non-refresh is not meant to work with 45nm processors. So unfortunately, there is no fix for this. At least your one is working, in some cases it does not boot at all.
Even upgrading the bios, it wont make the error message disappear.
One thing only to be 100% sure, check the pba number of the your board if it is non-refresh board and if your cpu is 45 nm. Other than this, i dont have any suggestions.
Refresh board has a 'R' at the end.

Apparently i have checked the CPU E5440 is a 45nm, so it will give an error message in the bios 19a

S5000PAL no refresh will work with Quad Core only from 5300 series (65 nm)
