On OS restart (in CentOS, via selecting "Restart"), the BIOS displays the usual splash screen and then generates the following message: "The system BIOS has detected unsuccessful POST attempt(s). Possible causes include recent changes to BIOS Performance options or recent hardware changes. Press 'Y' to enter BIOS Setup or press 'N' to cancel and attempt to boot with previous settings." If I type 'N' the system boots normally. If I type 'Y' and exit the BIOS without changing anything, it also boots normally.
I upgraded the BIOS to the latest version, I removed the optical drive and all aux fans in order to reduce the power consumption and I delayed the start of HDD, but the same problem
PLEASE HELP!
Hi Quark
You can disable Failsafe Watchdog option in BIOS. That will solve the issue temporally.
Could you please tell me the exact model number of your power supply?
What configuration do you have on the hard drives? As a RAID? if you do What RAID are you using?
You said that you upgraded to the "latest BIOS" what latest bios version is that?

Same Problem here with DP55WG BIOS 3822 and various Linux distributions, for example RIP Linux 9.3 with kernel 2.6.27.2 . The same with kernel 2.6.31. BIOS bug?
Hello,
Thank you for your replies.
Unfortunately I didn't saw the LAN problems with the latest BIOS version 8322 and I installed it. Now I have a 10 MB LAN interface
.
In this new BIOS version don't exist C1E option but I have made some tests and I found that if I disable Performance -> Failsafe Watchdog the system don't reboot and hang after message machine restart appears (POST code 21 - MRC entry point). If I enable Failsafe Watchdog the system reeboots, but after that appear the message The system BIOS has detected unsuccessful POST attempt(s)... (POST code 69).
I also tried with only 4 GB of memory but no positive results.
Power supply is Spire Jewel SP-ATX-750WTN-PFC.
I have one software RAID1 with 2x 750GB HDD WD7500AADS and one software RAID5 with 3x 150GB HDD WD1500HLFS.
No answer even from Tech support?

BIOS 3878 is out now. Did you try that???
i have 3878 and its dont work
Hello,
3878 BIOS don't work at all.
It seems that DP55KG motherboard and Linux are incompatible for the moment. Please see:
Linux* is not supported on the Intel(R) Desktop Board DP55KG - Kernel still hangs upon reboot - 1
Linux* is not supported on the Intel(R) Desktop Board DP55KG - Kernel still hangs upon reboot - 2
Until a new BIOS version or a new Linux kernel will appear... do not reboot :D. Or change the motherboard.
