Is there any mechanism to have the pc notify me by email if the raid fails again?

Is there any recommended software to monitor temperature and fan performance, and again, email me if it falls outside of normal?

a new issue has appeared on one of two identical DP55WB, and I mean identical. Vista 64, raid-5 3 disks. In all ways identical. One of them is shutting down, usually after hours. a look at the log and I see many of these, just prior to the shutdown:
The server was unable to allocate a work item 1 times in the last 60 seconds. (event ID 2021)
All I have done so far, just now, is to tell Microsoft not to install patches (and reboot) automatically.

following up on this original thread. We threw Vista overboard for Win 7 Pro 64. And I'm having the same drop outs on the raid 5. Will your recommended version work for Win 7?
Also my NIC errors out on every boot. Never did on Vista. Any ideas on this? It's a pain to show the customers how to go into device mgr, delete and rescan although it works every time.
