I posted earlier regarding the AXX6DRV3GEXP asking if supported 3Gb/s transfer rates. I finally found documentation states the AXX6DRV3GEXP and the AXX6DRV3G support both 1.5Gb/s and 3Gb/s transfer rates
I recently updated the firmware on AXX6DRV3GEXP from v2.09 to v2.12. Before v2.12, the AXX6DRV3GEXP reported back to the Adaptec 3405 3Gb/s, now it reports 1.5Gb/s. I don't know if this is a false read since I don't have any previous transfer rate performance test. If possible, I don't want to roll back firmware on a production server to do transfer rate tests. The current config is a 4 drive raid 10.
Hi Doug,
Welcome back.
I will check with one of my colleague and if i get some update, i will let you know. Possibly this is just an error - misreading the data.
All the best,
Regards,
Aryan
Hi Doug,
I heard that this is related to some third party RAID controller cards. So, unless someone can do the test and let us know we won;t know this.
If someone has an Intel RAID Controller Card, they can give it a try and pass on the information to us.
All the best,
Regards,
Aryan.
Aryan, Look at my post http://communities.intel.com/message/54996#54996 I tested v2.09 & v2.12. I'd be hard pressed to believe it's a card compatibility issue, especially with a reliable board like the adaptec 3405.
Regards,
Doug
Just installed a AXX6DRV3G FW 2.11 with a Adaptec 3405 controller. It's registering 3Gb/s at the card.
So, am I beating a dead horse and stuck with sub-par performance or, is there a new firmware for the AXX6DRV3GEXP in the works?
