I am running a Lenovo R50e several years old, purchased new, with an Intel 2200BG network card, with WinXP-SP3. I have started having trouble maintaining a connection to various wireless hubs. I know the various wireless access points are working fine, as I am able to connect, using either the Win connection utility, or an application native to the IBM/Lenovo. The problem that I experience is that the connection is dropped after minutes; sometimes just a few seconds. I check my services and find that my Wireless Zero Configuration service has stopped. I have gotten the most recent version of drivers and related utilities from Lenovo, but there is no change, so have excluded that possible cause. Hardware failure? Something in a patch to WinXP? Poltergeists?
THANX for any ideas of what to do, or how to better diagnose.
