we have noticed similar issues with some other players and are working on the solution to create the lighter version of the game. as it is flash-based and as the player gets further along in the game, profile grows and therefore game slows down. I will publish a post on this site once the lighter version is available.
As for the competition. If you go to the landing page of this community: www.intel.co.uk/itgalaxy you will see the banner linking to the IT Manager III comeptition version. It is the same game, though a different instance to run the competition. You will need to register first to the community and then it will take you to competition version. It runs till mid September and you can win MSI x-slim 340 ultrathin laptop.
