Other than that, I was getting no communication to or from the workstation.
if you still have the Hardware is there anyway you can run this tool against it? I'm wondering if this can help us detect the problem vs. just the event log item.

Here are the results from the CTUVPRO tool. AMT is enabled in the MEBx, but still gives the status of disabled when the OS loads.

First off, working with Dell's tech support on this issue was a little tough. I think in total, I talked with three different reps, each
of which had never heard of AMT or didn't know much about it.
So, each new tech I talked with had to pull up the Dell CBT's before
they could talk to me and then each tech had me run through the same steps. We were just trying to get SMB mode to work, so that is where I focused. I confirmed the AMT configs with the Dell rep. I confirmed that the required
ports (16992) were open on my network and that I was using the correct URL to try and access the AMT web interface (http://hostname:16992). I also gave them all of the info that I posted on this thread originally. The final troubleshooting step that I ran was to acquire another Dell 755 and try SMB mode with it. When the 2nd workstation's AMT responded without any problems, they replaced the motherboard in my 1st workstation.
Quick Question:
When I used th Ctrl+P Command I get to the Intel Menu the machine is asking me for password? where do I get that password from.

The default password is "admin".
I just got this so everything is still a little new to me. I just noticed having to do with the hardware that it was disabled. Does it really have to be enabled to make any kind of difference in my every day use of the computer. I use it as home and just for entertainment and emails. Please get back to me if you see fit that would be appreciated, thanks.

I am new to AMT vPro technology and just now testing it out on a new Dell 755 workstation. Initially, I attempted to provision the workstation in Enterprise mode, but was not having any luck with that. As a test, I switched to SMB mode and found that I can't access the web interface. I have been on the phone with Landesk support as well as Dell tech support to no avail.
After enabling vpro in the MEBx BIOS extension, I get the following status messages:
MT version 3.0.5.1125
Intel AMT enabled
Intel AMT not configured
Inventory Update
Field Replaceable Unit List:

Following is a list of the troubleshooting steps I have tried so far:
Flashed the BIOS to version A08
Upgraded the MEBx from 3.0.2.0004 to 3.0.5.1125
Installed/reinstalled the Intel ME Interface (HECI) drivers
Installed/reinstalled the Intel AMT SOL/ LMS drivers
Reinstalled the NIC driver software
Unprovisioned/reprovisioned the workstation several times.
Reset the CMOS with jumper and by physically removing the battery.
Confirmed the AMT configuration settings with both Dell and Landesk tech support.
As you can see, I have invested a significant amount of time in troubleshooting on my own and with tech support. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
