Hey so I have these specs:

i5 2400 cpu ;

Intel Burrage DP67BG board,

Corsair xms 3 2x4G ram  (cmx8gx3m2a1600c9)

now my question,the ram is currently running at 1333mhz but can do 1600mhz would it even be worthwhile with the the fsb of the cpu being locked?

The bios has a built in xmp profile which makes the ram 1600mhz at 1.65v, im wondering if this is safe and what kind of effect it will have on power consumption on the system as a whole if its even noticeable.
