Last update messed up video playback?

I have been using Widi for about a year with my Dell laptop and Windows 7.

I use it as a dual screen monitor and play videos on the screen on my TV and do other stuff (like Pinterest ) on my laptop.

Just updated the Widi program and now videos playing with Widi on on my TV are stuttery... they do not play well.  The audio is fine (sometimes ahead of the picture).  I had not done this in a while so do not know if anything else is the cause.

I can play those videos fine without Widi on on just the laptop.

This is the whole reason I use Widi.. help!

Hello, thank you for your post,

Some of the trouble of displaying the video remotely is the possible interference, if you use an actual adapter to connect to the TV you may try using WiDi while you move other wireless devices away or even turn them off. Also after you have done an update it is a good idea to disconnect the push to TV adapter from the power then plug it back in, also close the WiDi software in the meantime. this would reset the current connection.

Also check for updates of your media player, some of the tested ones are: Microsoft Windows Media Player*, Windows Media Center Edition*, Cyberlink PowerDVD*, Corel WinDVD*, ArcSoft TotalMedia Theater*.

If it has been some time since you last used it then it may be caused also by other updates or even changes in the network now causing interference, you my try doing a system restore to a previous date, see the link below for instructions for the system restore:

    System Restore - Microsoft Windows

Well, I couldn't be much closer to my adapter and the video plays fine on my laptop but when I slide the video play over to my "second screen" on the TV, it has the halting video. Did it while playing and while paused and tried starting the video there, too and all have the same problem. Sound is fine.  Any other suggestions?  Using the latest version of Windows Media Player.  Do not have a good system restore point.  There has to be something I can try...
