IEEE 802.11r Fast Transition Support

Hello,

I looked on this site and found a similar support topic, but it wasn't really answered properly. Does anyone know if Intel wireless products of any kind support IEEE 802.11r FT? Intel helped create the standard, you'd think they would!

I have been looking for days now, and would like to activate FT on my wireless network. Please let me know if anyone can find some documentation. I think google is starting to get angry with me searching for the same thing over and over again.

Hi wilsonics,

Intel employees worked closely with Cisco employees and other members of the IEEE 802.11 community to develop IEEE 802.11r (Fast BSS Transition) amendment published in July 2008 to enable it with next generation digital media, meaning that this technology will be implemented and supported hopefully on new Intel products.

As of right now none of the Intel devices support it and we are precluded to discuss with the general public about upcoming products and their features and technologies.

I'll hold off on my wireless transition until your products support it.
