Hi,
AFter I create a storage space in windows 8 the intel rst service no longer starts/opens.
REinstalling, doesn't fix it. If I delete the storage space then reinstall rst it works again.
anyone know anything about this?
Hi Ashton
Would you please post the System Report of the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Software?
In order to generate the report you can open the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Software and the click on Help>>System Report>>Save. Please paste the whole system report on this forum thread.
Thanks!
Hi Fred,
Thanks for the reply, unfortunately the rst application won't even open when i have a storage spaces drive connected. I've tried manually starting the service, open the exe directly etc.
Below is my system report with my storage spaces drives disconnected.

Hi there,
i'm getting the same issue on Windows 8 Pro and on Windows 2012 Server Essentials.
same exit code: 1067, when disabling the storage spaces drives, RST works fine.
version: 11.7.0.1013
EDIT: I see it takes the intel guys a long time before any info is gathered. hmmmm
Me too. Windows 8 64bit installed on a DZ75ML-45K. RST v. 1013 will not run with a Storage Space installed.
Windows 8 Pro x64 and Windows storage spaces here also. Intel RST Service not working at all now.
BTW, INTEL FORUM MODERATOR... fix this! when a consumer posts on these forum, if this miss the subdued small button on the bottom left (Add Reply) and instead click on the darker and more announced (Reply to original post) button, there message appears to get wiped out and they have to type in from scratch. Very disappointing forum UI. Either that or it's just not posting, with a super long delay or something, this is my 3rd attempt to post to the message.
This case is probably similar to this one http://communities.intel.com/message/174087#174087. Please update RST to version 12.0.0.1083.
Issue still not resolved with RST version 12.0.0.1083 !
please someone get this thing working asap.. getting really annoying. ![]()
