Like others posting on here I am also experiencing intermittent dropping of internet connection with Intel Centrino Advance N 6205 in Dell Latitude E6420 running Windows 7 Professional x64. I am running driver version 184.108.40.206 but previous versions still had the same problem. The problem is not related to my router as other devices can connect to the internet by both Ethernet and WiFi. I am using Channel 1 to avoid interference from nearby networks on channels 6 and 11. For the benefit of other users I am using a BT HomeHub 2.
When I lose internet connection:
Checking Proset it shows "Connected to my wireless network but Internet Access is NO"
I cannot ping the router with its IP address
I cannot connect to the router through a browser
If I logon to my router from another device it shows that this problem laptop is connected to the router
If I reset either the router or reset Proset the connection is re-established
There is nothing showing in the Wireless Event Viewer or Windows Event Viewer
This is exactly the same problem I have with the 6235, which is identical to the 6205 except for Bluetooth. I think we still need more people to manifest these problems for Intel to act.
Can you check whether the problem disappears when you disable 802.11n mode in the driver settings? That was the case for me (although not really a cure to the problem as your adapter looses its high-speed features)
I am also having same issue with inter centrino 6205 for intermittent connection for wireless networks
more annoying is - most of the time - its not getting connected to trusted wifi-network even 'connect automatically' is selected for trusted wifi network. we need to connect is back. Its using intel pro wireless manager to manage different wireless network profile. Laptop having win 7 prof 64-bit and windows wireless manager is also there but i am thinking of removing intel wireless pro manager if there is any conflicts in settings of that and windows manager is there
I understand that you already tested the driver version 220.127.116.11 and a previous version and you still have the same problem.
You may try 5GHz channel bonding and MIMO, here are two links that will give you more information:

Update: disabling 802.11n no longer works for me.
-disabling blue tooth as some others suggested
-using old drivers
-using latest driver
I am currently using a wall connection, which is working for now but obviously I want wifi. I am purchasing an external mini USB wifi device so I can use wifi until this issue is resolved.
I am working on a brand new Samsung Series 5 UltraBook
When will an actual fix be implemented for this? This is causing some issues in our Enterprise as HP 8470p laptops are being deployed with the Intel Centrino N 6205 adapter. A few notes worth mentioning.
- Win7 64 bit Enterprise OS
- Multiple driver versions tested (18.104.22.168 from 7/16/2012, 22.214.171.124 from 6/8/12, and 126.96.36.199 from 5/29/12) - Not sure why HP never changed the version number but there were actual changes.
- Multiple 8470p laptops experiencing intermittent wireless drops. Sometimes these drops require a full logoff or reboot.
- Problem occurs on 3 different types of routers (2 newer netgear and 1 older linksys). No wireless issues in the enterprise but I'm unsure of our wireless access points but it's old.
- Power management setting (with the 1 - 5 option) is missing under the advanced tab - strange as this is on ever other HP model laptop.
- Issues more prevelent when using VPN over wireless

I was able to correct this issue with the following workaround.
Device Manager > Intel Centrino 6205 adapter properties > Advanced Tab > 802.11n mode - SET TO DISABLE
After disabling 802.11n everything immediately worked properly.
I can confirm this issue affects at least these two routers; even with the latest firmware : Netgear WNR2000 and Netgear WNR1000v3.
Another thing to mention is that both devices were HP 8470p elitebook laptops.
I had the same problem. I received a new laptop Dell E6330 with Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit.
Experienced intermittent, but very frequent wifi drop with Intel Centrino advanced N 6205, driver6205 update 15.2.019.
I tried to update in Control Panel, Device manager. the drive but reported I already had the latest update.
Then I went to the Intel website and let the system find the correct update automatically. It found update 188.8.131.52, which I installed.
It has now been > 12 hours and my wifi connecting to my home network with D-link router is working perfectly. I am still worried that the problem will come back, but it seems to be fixed.
I wonder if I did not have the correct driver for the 64bit Windows 7 OS initially. My company installs the OS for everyone.
I have had this problem on my laptop I bought in August since the first day. I can't get anybody to fix this. I have a Samsung NP700Z3A.
I've upgraded the driver to 184.108.40.206. I know its the wireless card because I disabled the Intel card and used a cheap 30 dollar Netgrear external usb wirless card and it works just fine.
I finally have this working though, but the way I have it working is by disabling the bluetooth on the wireless card. Samsung comes with software called "Easy Settings" which allows me to disable the bluetooth. I have to disable it and it works fine. When enabled, it has the dropping issues. In fact sometimes it doesn't even connect to the wireless router.
This IS a problem with the Intel card. Intel needs to fix this because I would like to use the bluetooth on this at some point.
We usually recommend installing the latest tested drivers from the computer manufacturer, since those would have been tested with your specific components and set ups.
A generic driver to test is the latest version 15.6 (would install 15.4 in Windows* 7). See the link below to this download:
Bluetooth should not cause any interference with this card since it is a separate component on this laptop, it might be a good idea indeed to verify with Samsung* to take care of this interference that you are experiencing on this laptop.
