Intel.
Could you please actually test your new drivers with real hardware out there and see if its working or not? It seems that after widi 3.1.29, all real-world testing has stopped.
The latest version of widi, 3.5.41 shows the same faults as 3.5.40 atleast on widows 7 64-bit with netgear ptv2000.
1. constant security code requirements,
2. widi dashboard popup - why?
3. cannot find adapter - needs reboot.
3.1.29 works perfectly.
using netgear ptv2000.
earlier discussion:
Intel WiDi 3.5.40.0 on windows 7 64-bit keeps asking for security code and is unstable
Thank you for your post.
We at Intel appreciate your feedback in this matter. I will make sure your report and suggestions reach the proper department for future consideration. Thank you for taking the time to communicate this issue to us.
We have written in detail about the problems with wifi v3.5.40. I think your response to those threads was similar.
so my Q is - has your R&D team actually looked at the issues and even acknowledged the problems? or are we sending bug reports into a black hole?
Intel, I just wasted $50 on a WiDi adapter that is now useless thanks to THOSE exact issues that i have spent HOURS trying to fix but to NO avail. Complaints are EVERYWHERE!
ARE YOU BLIND?! Fix your issues especially the "no adapter found issue that's everywhere!
Same issues here using a Belkin Screencast rather than the Netgear. Connection just drops as it "loses" the adapter.
Received a response from Intel support though saying that it is likely to be a Gigabyte (I am using a GA-H77-WIFI mobo) or Belkin issue...
