Hello,
I have been using my Intel WiDi with a Netgear Push2TV (PTV1000) for a couple of years now. Recently I moved into a new home and purchased a new wireless router (Medialink Wireless N Broadband Router).
Since moving to this new home and new router, I have noticed my internet connection speeds are cut in half when I am connected both to my wifi and WiDi.
Without connecting to the WiDi, I am connected at about 20Mbps through a wired network connection or my wifi connection. When I am connected to the WiDi and a wired network connection, the speed stays the same (about 20Mbps). However, when I am connected through my wifi and to the WiDi , my internet speed drops to about 10Mbps.
Any idea what the issue might be here? I have a Toshiba Satellite E205-S1904. I don't ever recall this issues before with previous wireless connections, but I never tested it out either.
Thanks!
Hello A46220,
We have not seen this behavior before. Have you checked with the router manufacturer for a firmware update?
Did this happen when you changed the router?

Hi Guys,
Did this problem get solved?
Was it a router limitation?
I have just purchased a D'link DHD-131 and have managed to connect it and it works playing media locally (mind you it is a wee bit jittery now and then, is there any tips to smooth out playback?).
However, whenever I am hooked up to WiDi my WiFi connection slows right down, I cannot play anything off the network or browse the internet. They are still there, the connection is just very, very slow.
I would have thought it dd not have anything to do with the router as (as far as I can tell) my tablet is connecting direct to the DHD-131 through WiFidirect.
Is it possible it is some sort of IP conflict or something? (although that sounds weird as the internet is still there, just slow)
Is it that my wireless adapter cannot do both at the same time? (My adapter is an Intel Advanced-N 6235)
Is it that my DHD-131 is interfering with the signal from my router?
Please help me...
Thanks in advance,
Jamie
I too am having this problem with a new setup using the PTV2000. Any help would be appreciated.
