Samsung Series 9, Belkin Screencast: can't make Widi working, help

Dear All

Here is my problem

Laptop: Samsung Series 9, model 2012, Windows 7, 64bit Professional

Belkin ScreenCast, connected to Samsung TV via HDMI

Both Windows and Kaspersky Firewall are disabled

Software installed as following

Wireless Networking (WiFi)

Screen on TV shows "Ready to connect" message from Belkin

When I run Wireless WiDi, scan for available adapters : "No adapter is found" message remains.

When pressing “scanning for available adapters” – no change.

In fact, it doesn’t look like there is a scan of any kind as “no available adapters” message is back there immediately after pressing Scanning button

Removed and re-installed all related Intel soft once – no effect.

Tried the same procedure with other TV - no effect as well.

Really appreciate your advises

Hi Alex Michine,

I would like to know if the Intel® Wireless Display (WiDi) software came pre-installed and enabled by the system manufacturer and it ever worked fine before.

I have exactly same problem with Samsung Series 9, Belkin Screencast and latest Wireless Display Software 3.5.40.0.
Wireless Display Software 3.5.40.0 doesn't work with PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility 15.3.1.
With older versions of PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility it works well.
Can Intel fix this problem?

Hi Mark
No, WiDi software was not installed on Samsung Series 9.
So it didn't work before installing latest Widi software. Unfortunately it is not working still.
Any ideas/ recommendations?

hi,

I've the same problem. I try to downgrad intel widi and intel proset and it work 3sec the mousse appear and disconnect immediatly before my laptop totaly load. The resolution on my Samsung change for 2 sec and then disconnect widi.
(sorry for translate i'm french)
