and one more to add:

From my understanding from the flow chart, if the bios is older/earlier than 0032, you should update it to 0032 (the transition stage bios) recommended with iexpress method (.exe as per in intel bios update flow chart)

e.g: 0020 (iexpress) ---> 0032 (iexpress) ---> 0043 -----> 0043 (update recovery method to upgrade Intel Management Engine)
