hmmm....seems to be much the same thing.
You could always take a look at the driver options by going through the 'let me choose a driver' route.
It will show you what chips are supported in the inf. file so you can choose from the list.
I think there's also a box that when ticked, will only show compatible drivers [like F6 dialog]
Take a screen shot of both compatible and all drivers and post it up.
Well I tried to contact Intel, then ADATA, now I'll try to contact MSI as well Anyway I think someone will answer monday. So, if you still have any other ideas please post them, thank you! I will update this topic if I will make any progress and/or if I'll solve the problem, so that other people that have the same question can solve it as well.
Sorry for the late answer, I was away on holiday I began contacting Intel support, continued on the forum here, contacted ADATA and in the end MSI. Now both ADATA and MSI came to a point where they don't know anymore what to advise me with. I sent both of them screenshots of the error and to ADATA even the huge DMP file (it has more than 600 MB) but they came to a point where none of them know how to advise me. I even upgraded the firmware of the SSD, version 3.3.2, to a new version that appeared while I contacted them (coincidence?), version 5.0.2a, so I guess a major version, but with no success.
So yeah i guess the error in Intel RST will remain, and I will remain with the Windows preinstalled driver...
However, I thought about trying to update the BIOS (even though I doubt it will solve it) and also trying to contact Intel again. Any other ideas?
I already have the latest version of BIOS that is compatible with my i7 2600 (Sandy Bridge) and after I read this I changed my mind about updating (more links in the first post):
MSI answered me. A technician tested my issue, but they couldn't reproduce it. The agent advised me to not upgrade to the newer BIOSes with Intel ME8, because I could have issues. He also advised me to contact the reseller, which I don't want to do only because of a bug.
I contacted Intel as well, and the agent said that the motherboard or the SSD might be the problem. I also showed him the error of the blue screen, and he said that they don't debug errors. He also said that nobody else reported such an issue like mine, ever since the SSDs were released. Also, he told me that Intel RST 11 has been released, so I downloaded and installed version 18.104.22.1686. As expected, I got again the blue screen.
I'm still waiting for an answer from ADATA, but I doubt it will be something positive. The technician from ADATA already tried to test the issue on my configuration (almost) and it worked properly, and also advised me to upgrade to a newer firmware.
So I guess that was it, the problem was not solved, and nobody knows what's the cause of it.
EDIT: damn that I can't give more helpful answer stars, I wanted to give 'nails' as well. Anyway, thanks each of you for the help!
Any second hand computer dealers in your area? Any cheepy sata drive will do.
I'm sure it must be an issue between the m/b, ssd and driver. A regular hdd is the only thing left to try.
Have you tried installing all available win7 upates? This had a significant effect on some drivers for the X79 board.
