Hey Guys and Girls
I have a server (Intel Server System SR1630HGP) that is running VMware vSphere 5.0.0 U1. I'm looking for a way to be able to manage the RAID (Intel RAID Controller SRCSATAWB) array from the physical host that is running vSphere (or do you think it would be possible to install the management tools within a Linux/Windows Virtual Machine?). What would the best way to go about doing this? Ideally, I would like to be able to tell if a hard disk has failed or if some other issue has occurred with with array. The audible beeps are fine but I won't always be in the data center where the server is hosted.
