Hello, I use windows 7 PRO 64bits since I bought this board with BIOS 0028 and works very fine!

New question. Using the CPU-Z software I can see the bus speed at 99.8 Mhz, and I remenber is set to 100 Mhz on the BIOS. I saw one post with this information: Please note that buses of many modern microprocessors utilize dual-data and quad-data rate transfers, which effectively doubles and quadruples bus speed. For instance, the bus of first Pentium 4 microprocessors was clocked at 100 MHz. Because the data could be sent 4 times during each bus cycle, the bus effectively worked as 400 MHz bus.

So is better change the bus speed to 400Mhz???? I don`t get the Idea.

Sorry, I got it now, need be at 100Mhz.

Hey Guys!!!, some one know were I can find the drive for: Texas instruments 1394 OHCI compliant host controller ? Is not on installation CD, nothing on driver download page.

My system is workin fine too, I`m running Win7 64bits, and the infamous BIOS 35. Some inssues about the 1394 controller.

My system is Win 7 64 bit and the 1394 driver loaded by my system was included with Windows itself.

I've not tried to use the interface however. My BIOS is 036 but when I was on 035 the 1394 drive was normal in device manager as well.

Intel's definitely getting better at these updates, with this one only lagging by 15 days.

You first. If you guys do flash this BIOS let the rest of us 0028 people out there know how it works and if any issues are encountered.

I did flash this new crappy bios (0037) (F7) hoping it will fix my freeze issue with marvell port because 0036 didint and it never ends... so motherboard bricked again for second time. Even if it is guarantee i did call a merchant hoping to have a good gigabyte in stock for the week end and never heard of this board again but no luck.. ill have to wait. Second time i return this board for bios issue. I do not want to get another Intel board again, it was the first and last time. It can be good for people that do not update bios and that do not want to exploit at maximum a motherboard, not for me.

Same here, bad frustration, seams like a bios nightmare. The 035 BIOS destroyed my overclocking machine. Never though this could happen from an intel board. This force us 2 look 4 other companies. But I appreciate having it fixed soon, on the next version, i hope so.

They have replaced my 0035 board once. 
It came with 0035 ver. and sis not work form box with my k2500i. 
I've contact them again, and they replaced the board for the second time.

This time the board came with 0028, and worked, but I had BSODs. 
Though, I thought formatting my PC will fix that, but in the meanwhile,

ACCIDENTLY I've connected my USB thumb drive and restarted my PC. 
Because replacement took a few weeks, and I didn't connect my drive to other PC,

I forgot that the 0035 BIOS files was still on my USB drive. 
Thats wall enough for Intel board. Now third board is a brick, but Intel 
said to me they won't replace the board for the third time, so I don't

know what to do now. I'll try to explain them, but it's already too much for me.

I'm sure I won't buy another Intel motherboard ever.

I didn't paid $222 for a board that you can never make a BIOS update,

and to stay with a BIOS which is ONE YEAR OLD FOR EVER,

while Intel keep making newer BIOS that will kill this board.

Intel still doesn't get the the fact there is an issue with their BIOS from ver. 0035 
with some "older" generation CPUs, which are not IVY, like i2500k.

Intel should take this board and built it a two separated BIOS pages. 
One for all IVY owner, and one for Sandy Bridge. 

I should receive my Asus P8Z77-V on monday, ill put the brand new dz68bc in closet in case of one day i am very poor and need to try this again. Thank you Intel to have make loose so much money and time trying to like this motherboard that look awesome.. but only looks, far from being.

As I mentioned in the Management engine 0.0.0.0 thread, I did try an update to bios37. It went wrong and I am worse off than I was previously. With the update, I lost access to two of my four memory sticks.

I tried clearing cmos (battery out method) and regressing to bios 36 (F7 Update). Still only two sticks recognised. No improvement plus a system freeze to add to my annoyance/frustration (first one for me with this mobo)

This morning, I refitted a Celeron SB processor and used a sequence  and bios flashes interspersed with CMOS clears (recovery jumper) to find the scope of the issues and repair any cmos corruption or former imperfect flashing.

I tried 036 and it saw all four memory sticks. Fitted the IB i7-3770 processor - it then would only see two sticks; Refitted Celeron again, reflashed to 036; It would see all four sticks. Refitted the IB processor and it would again only see two sticks.

So Bios 037 has somehow put the board into a state where my i7-3770 will no longer see all memory..... I'm still using the boards with reduced memory and fingers crossed, have not experienced any more freezes.

These problems and some compatibility issues I have had with USB ports have led me to a decision...

I know that his thread and others like it (DZ68BC) have the same people complaining.  I wonder if there's anyone out there that actually likes this board?  If I weren't so d**m broke right now I would've already ordered an ASUS.
