I recently purchased the DH67CF (B3) to build a new HTPC and I am running into what I believe is a hardware issue, but I would like to run it by folks on the community before contacting warranty support. I am a fairly experienced, amateur system builder having built systems for myself and friends over the past 20 years.
The symptom:
When installing the OS (Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit), as soon as I try to install the IGP drivers, my machine effectively stops working. It does one of three things.
The cause of one of these three symptoms is absolutely repeatable. When I am in VGA mode, no problems whatsoever. As soon as I install the Intel IGP drivers, I run into one of the issues described above. As soon as I boot in safe mode, uninstall the drivers and reboot, I'm back in VGA mode and everything is fine.
I have tried the procedure above on BIOS 0105 (what my board shipped with), BIOS 0125 (latest stable since 0131 was pulled), Intel HD graphics driver 8.15.10.2476 and Intel HD graphics driver 8.15.10.2462.
Any ideas? This sounds like I might need a replacement mainboard, but wanted to hear input from the community.
My setup is below.
Thanks,
David

Your issue sounds like the famous HDMI issue...
There is a newer display driver you could try.... 2509. There is a long thread about HDMI issues at startup with drivers newer than 2219 . See this thread (http://communities.intel.com/thread/20439) if you want all the gory details. Maybe it is fixed in 2509. I never experienced that issue, so I can't be sure...
As you mention it could be a bad board too... But a driver update is worth a try...
I have exactly the same problem. Using a i3-2120T with DH67CF. Newest bios is installed "0151". When rebooting after installing the Intel® HD Graphics Driver i get a black screen and hangs where the windows logo supposed to be loading. Booting in safe mode works. Im using windows 7 64bit.
I have been looking in the thread listed above but where do i find older drivers?
Is there a way to solve this problem?
I've seen something similar when I allowed Windows Update to apply the latest driver. After that incident, I never do that and instead always acquire the driver from the Intel site (using Windows Update as just a kind of notification for availability of newer drivers).
So... I guess the question is, where are you getting your HD Graphics driver?
I'm running a DH67CF with Graphics Driver v2656, with BIOS 0151 and it is working fine. 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate though...
Hi
The HD graphic driver is from intels download center. Installed windows 7 32-bit just to check but i got the same issue. Black screen after windows boot logo.
A couple of ideas to try...
Have you tried a different monitor/TV just to isolate the problem to the board?
Have you determined if the system is hung during boot vs. no video displayed? One way to determine that would be to enable remote desktop, and then login after the computer is booted while the screen is black via another computer via remote desktop client.
I have tried both my tv and my samsung syncmaster p2450 both via dvi and hdmi. The systems hangs, tried to login via remote desktop client but no sucess there.
Probably it is time to open a ticket with Intel support. You might have a bad board or CPU/iGPU.
One other thing to try... and Intel support folks will probably suggest this as well... is to try clearing CMOS and then BIOS recovery to latest version (which yeah, you should already have, but...)
Did you try 2696? With Intel's Download Center, it's easier to find older versions than it is this one.
I had a similar issue and it was resolved by changing the HDMI cable. Something to try.
