In my board, it can be set. It means when bios boot, a music(everytime you heard in intel's advertisement) will play. Maybe you disabled onboard sound card?
Hi
And it soon gets very very annoying! I'd rather Intel spent their time on getting the BIOS working without bugs and not wasting time on brain washing us.
Just be glad you can't hear it.
Regards
Phil
Hello liwangli,
You are right.
I disabled the onboard sound card for a Creative Recon 3D, when I enable it the option is available.
Hello Phil,
I agree your opinion, and you can disable it in bios if you do not want to hear it.
Intel should pay attention to get their bios working good.
There are too many bugs in DH77EB like it is a beta product.
The Startup Sound can be useful if the display output is sent to a random output (DVI-D, DVI-I, DisplayPort). Then you can at least hear that the board is booting up and is not completely dead.
Maybe it is there for a reason...
Nice explanation.
The "Bi" sound from onboard speaker is now insteaded of this sound in booting process, although I prefer to the former.
