Our organisation has recently inherited several intel RMM2 cards, however the previous password is still in-force on these modules. After reading through intel’s documentation, it appears there is no clear way in re-setting the RMM2 modules to its factory default setting. Does anyone know of another method in re-setting these RMM2 modules to their factory default settings?
On a side note, the Kiratool is throwing an unexpected I/O error (in DOS and EFI) mode.
Cheers
You're on the right track, Kiratool is the only method to reset a lost password. You do have to run it from a DOS boot disk on the server in question, as well.
Are you getting:
Could not get user list: Device Authentication failed
?
I am getting the Device Authentication Failed message. Tried -f, tried defaults, all fail with the same message. How does one reset the superuser password when one has forgotten it/acquired the machine from another organization which forgot it/etc?
You can set admin password using the following command under DOS:
kiratool -a admin passwd <password>
Have you solved this issue? I can't even run kiratool under DOS, got this error: "Load error: can't switch mode"
What version of DOS you are using? MSDOS 6.22, MSDOS 8, FreeDOS?
MSDOS 6.22 should be fine. I suppose you're not running it in a command prompt window under Windows?
or ROM-DOS can also be used.
