My plan was to use my Crucial C300 128GB partly for the OS and partly for Intel SRT to cache the data on my traditional HDD.
Essentially it works fine now, but one thing bothers me. I wanted to use about 40GB of my SSD for caching, but the tool (10.8.0.1003) only lets me choose 18.6GB or 64GB, nothing in between.
Is there a way to set a custom size or is it just a limitation by Intel?

The Intel Rapid Storage Technology Software only allows using either 18.6GB or 64GB of the SSD for caching at this moment. You can check this link for more information about the Intel Smart Response Technology http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-032826.htm
Thanks for the clarification.
Are there any plans to make this setting adjustable in the future?
