Hi,
I recently built a new system (see speccs below), but ever since I upgraded my GPU from a nVidia GT220 to a Radeon HD6870 my CPU temperature spikes up to about 72 degrees Centigrade, sometimes even 77 when booting! This only seems to occur during gaming sessions and when I am booting my machine, does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this problem?

I would suggest installing the latest BIOS version for your motherboard, and also make sure the chassis of your system has proper air flow.

The processor should not be above 72.6 degrees Celsius
