64 bit os seems to the a problem.
I believe it likes 32 bit.
I have the same problem with another Astaro 525 Router.
I had tried a work around by installing a 64bit Windows Server r2 OS on it so I can update the Linux firmware using windows which i know. a major PITA.
In Windows OS it see the card 3ware 8006-2LP driver/card but does not see any raid....... at all but at least I can get in to Windows OS.
I can't say that for Linux...it's DOA..."no harddrives."
Error Message: Bug at HWDB.c:506
This means that it does not see a configured harddrive.
3ware now LSI had a very old obsolete firmware dated 2004.
Since I have the same problem unsolved currently I cannot confirm this is the problem 64 bit.
But being old fw its a good bet.
