1.5V. Other than the usual ODD/HDD/boot order/fan stuff everything is stock.
I had some free time tonight so I ran memtest one stick at a time. One of the sticks got through one pass without errors; the others failed in the first pass.
SO you have warranty right ?? When you send them back send all of them and tag the one good stick , that way when they return the Ram they will send matching sets .
If I send anything back it will be the DP55KG. It turns out the memory works (memtest86+ and OS) in another board so I don't have much basis for returning it. I had planned to use it to upgrade my system from 8GB to 16GB and put the old memory in a machine I'm building for someone else, but for the moment she lucks out and I get to figure out whether I want to exchange my DP55KG.
Meanwhile, if anyone has gotten this or any other flavor of 4GB DIMMs to work in a DP55KG, please post!
The Kingston Memory configuration tool makes no mention of a 16 GB set up being supported with their DIMMs but Corsair do - using the CML16GX3M4A1600C9B kit. I don't have that particular board so cant speak from experience but before returning your motherboard you should be trying 'supported' configurations and the memory company configuration tools are a good place to start.
Kingston does not sell this memory in a 16GB kit but the Kingston web site and a Kingston tech support human being state that 4x4GB with this specific memory (i.e. 2 kits of 2x4GB) should work for the DP55KG. In any case, as noted in my original post, the DP55KG fails with each kit installed separately.

So it seems to be either faulty (or not perfectly matching) memory or a faulty motherboard. While the idea of using 2 x 2 DIMM kits should be OK as mentioned, there's no guarantee that the two kits precisely match each other so should is definitely the important word there. The way to ascertain if it's the former or latter thats responsible is to try an entirely different bunch of DIMMs with the board. You asked about officially supported 16 GB configurations for this board and there's no doubting the reference I gave earlier fits that description. Otherwise maybe you can simply take the base unit into the shop you're buying the memory from and ask them to fit and test 'compatible' memory for you.
Just got off the phone with Intel tech support. Intel tech support and Kingston tech support agree that the DP55KG should run with with 4x4GB (or 2x4GB, or 1x4GB) of this particular memory. The options at this point are fairly obvious. Meanwhile, if anyone has succeeded in running this board with *any* combination of 4GB DIMMs, please post!
