can it be enabled if i replace the adapter?

I hate to ask this here, but it sems a much more activeboard than toshiba's

The salesman indicated this toshiba satellite L745-S4210 with I3-2310M would work with push2TV, since " all sandy bridge chips were WIDI capable".  It's  a week later and I now know he was wrong.  This laptop has a realtek wireless adapter, and you need an intel centrino wireless adapter.  By now we've spent a few hours tweaking this laptop and I hate to start over.  Can I replace the wireless adapter, download the software and enable WIDI?
