I have an Intel Pentium 3 Ghz processor clocked at 800 Mhz speed. The fan on the CPU almost runs all the time at a high RPM of abuot 4500 roughly. It makes lots of noise.
Is there any way or software which I could use to reduce the speed of this CPU so that the Fan could go a little slower making less noise ?
The noise starts as soon as i turn on the computer.
Can i sort of tone down the CPU cos i dont care about it getting slower .... thats fine by me but the noise should reduce.
Any help is welcomed.
