Anyone know where to find information on the Thunderbolt controller?
Bob
Everything I know about it I read here http://www.intel.com/technology/io/thunderbolt/index.htm
Yes, I've seen that web page. Mostly marketing stuff. I'm looking for developer information needed to be able to use Thunderbolt I/O for a new product I am designing. Things like chip spec sheets on the Intel Thunderbolt controller chip, cable and connector suppliers, software drivers available, etc.

According to a CNET blog from the Intel briefing this morning, Intel is selling a Thunderbolt Developers Kit. I haven't been able to find any information on the Dev Kit.

I'm looking for the same information! Can't wait to find it.
I have seen press references to the TB developer kit being available sometime on the spring. That reference was in the context of a developer kit for PC system vendors. Not sure if it is the same developer kit for peripheral manufacturers. Not seen a word directly from Intel about any development kit.
I'm really not sure if this is the best place to look for help on this but it is the only one I've found that looks like it will get somewhere. Too bad Intel isn't being aggressive in seeking adopters for this wonderful new technology. I guess that is how USB started out long ago and we'll just have to wait.

I was hoping some one from that team would make a POST on this.
I found a number of other links, but so far nothing on the specifics. i.e. a white paper or a set of part numbers.

I would think these guys should know.
Some internal feed back
For anyone asking about “when can I get development information”
Please respond with ““we expect developer kits to be ready for distribution during the first half of Q2, please check with your Intel sales representative for an update”
So far all info I've seen on Intel site is marketing stuff.
I'm adding my post here in the hope that someone posts info on sourcing a hardware developer's kit.
I'm also interested in details on the phys. layer (e.g. connectors and cables).
Many thx, Steven Barlow
Thank you everyone for your interest. The information that was posted before is correct. We expect developer kits to be ready for distribution during the first half of Q2. Please check with your Intel sales representative for updates.

Mark,
Any update on the availability of the developer kits?
Bob

Any update? No further information was released till today.
Still I got the same old info which says Development kit being released on Q2.
Where can I purchase Thunderbolt Developer Kits? Is Apple selling them?
