Yes, i think that the problem it's the same. I have contact a specialist of intel, but the problem remain.
They told me to install an old version of matrix storage, but on the download page i have read that is not for 2008 R2, only 2008.
My problem is very simple...the installer of rst doesn't create any intel rst service
Well, i got one step further yesterday.
I installed .net 3.51 and was able to install version 9.6 and service was running.
I already had .net 4 installed but apparently that isnt good enough for version 9.6.
Today ill try install version 10 (didnt yesterday since I wanted to verify raid with 9.6 before continuring with v10)
If that works it will mean that v10 needs .net 3.51 or less.
Service got installed in all try, but just didnt run.
About getting the servince installed there is a posting about installing it manualy:
.net 3.51 did the trick.
.net 4 is NOT enough.

I have create the service with comand line and now rst work!!
On my srv 2008 r2 i have only .net 3.51!
