Hello,
I would suggest that you uninstall and then reinstall the Intel AppUp(SM) center.
I would also reboot between uninstall and reinstall.
Here is how to uninstall Intel AppUp(SM) center.
1. Go to Start and select "All Programs"
2. Find "Intel AppUp(SM) center" and select it
3. Select "Uninstall Intel AppUp(SM) center"
4. Reboot your PC
5. Browse back to http://appup.intel.comand download and install the Intel AppUp(SM) center
Let us know if this does not resolve your issue.

I'm running Windows and am receiving the "Cant Connect" error - though I'm obviously connected to the Internet and I'm NOT in Egypt! ![]()
My greatest disappointment with this is that I may likely miss out on the "Angry Birds" free download which is a limited-time and limited-quantity offer.
Can you please note my problem and the date/time of my problem so that I may avail myself of the software once the problem is corrected?
It would be the fair and honest thing to do.

Hello,
We have been experiencing extremely high utilization triggered by an Angry Birds free app promotion. We have seen several users who were getting errors when they try to use or start the Intel AppUp(TM) client. This was impacting all users. The free app promotion has ended and Intel AppUp(TM) client traffic has returned to normal levels.
Please see http://communities.intel.com/thread/19369?tstart=0 for latest status.

I am still getting error codes when I try to log in.
Hello
Please try the following:
1. Uninstall the Intel AppUp(TM) client, reboot the workstation, and then reinstall the Intel AppUp(TM) client from http://www.appup.com
2. If still fails, temporarily disable virus protection and firewall and try to run the Intel AppUp(TM) client again.
3. If still fails, please run the Intel® System Identification Utility. The instructions are located at http://www.intel.com/support/idyp.htm
4. Provide us the Intel® System Identification Utility Reference Number so we can look at the system configuration to confirm it meets the minimum requirements
5. (Optional) Try installing Intel AppUp(TM) client on a second system to see if you get the same results or if it works.
