The DH67CF mini-ITX motherboard supposedly supports 16GB RAM. It has two memory slots. So, it would seem that I would need RAM that is 8GB per module. I don't have much trouble finding 8GB modules; however, they are all ECC. Intel specs call for non-ECC, unbuffered. Is there a manufacturer of 8GB non-ECC DDR3 modules?
The specifications also state: 16 GB maximum total system memory (with 4 Gb memory technology). I do not know what the significance of: 4 Gb memory technology.
The products usually have a tested memory list, but for some reason I don't see one posted for this product.
So, I theoreticly cheated and just went to a major vendors web site:
| KVR1333D3N9K2/8G | 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM (Kit of 2) | Get Price |
I would have never thought that old Kingston would save the day. I guess that I gave up too soon in my search. I only assumed that they did not exist because Google came up with nothing.
The other reason that I gave up so easily is that a manufacturer of a DDR2 memory-based hard drive admitted to the non-existence of the 8GB modules that were approved for their 64GB drive; thus making it only a 32GB drive.
Thanks for saving my stupid hide and next time, I'll try harder first.
I believe that that is a kit of 2 sticks of 4GB each (8GB total).
I believe your correct ![]()

(Sure wish I could find the Support memory list)
You were correct the first time. One just needs to buy a 16GB kit to get two 8GB modules.
And being persistent like that, I found the 8GB non-ECC DDR2 modules for the HyperDrive 5.

I agree; why in the world must it be so hard sometimes to find an approved vendors list on manufacturers' sites!?
