Setting up an HPC Data Center has at least three major elements that should be considered…will start from easiest (physical design considerations) to most difficult (logical design considerations):
1. DC Facilities
2. Networks
3. Servers/Operating Systems/Application Architecture (with implied impact on Data and Business Architecture)
At the moment, it is not clear what element(s) you are thinking about. Can you please clarify?
