Wendsday im onsite and give it a go, i really hope it will work!
I'll will post here!
Thanks for the info Jytan!
I think my problem is not due to lighttpd but to ascpolicy service, my lighttpd is working but when I login to IASC I have the menu frame on the left pane but when I click any item the right pane is always white, showing nothing. So looking the messages.log I found these error repeating about every 21 minutes:
kernel: ascpolicy[4691]: segfault at 000000005d305b66 rip 0000000000733078 rsp 00000000f6511160 error 4
Maybe ascpolicy is not compatible with RHEL 5.5 64Bit?
After applying teh patch still a no go,
Sometimes i can login, and sometimes not...
After im logged on, i see on the left buttons and in the middle of the screen the circle (of the applet) is going round forever and nothing is happening.

So unfortunately, per my earlier post, Centos* is not the supported operating system, per this list. Sorry about that.
As for the issue on RedHat Enterprise Linux* 5.5 64-bit, we are unable to replicate your issue. The configuration below is what we used.
Motherboard : S5000VSA
BIOS:98
BMC:64
SDR:42
Board Part Number:D52032-712
OS: RHEL* 5.5 X64
Kernel: 2.6.18-194.EL5 (x86_64)
What specific kernel version is being used for RHEL 5.5 64bit? After installation of IASC, was a reboot done ? How about other packages installed ?
Sorry, but my system is Centos 5.5, (open source version of RHEL) and my kernel is 2.6.18-194.11.1.el5. I also made a reboot but same result. I'm looking to see if I have to update the bios to solve the issue. If the IASC is not compatible with Centos for me could be problematic due to the fact all my servers have this operating system.
I apologise for the inconvenience, unfortunately Centos* is not currently supported by the Intel(R) Active System Console (IASC), however, if Intel decides to support this in the future builds of IASC, it will be clearly documented in the release notes as well as the user guide.
In other words, if you have CentOS, to bad for you, and no IASC?
While the difference between RHEL and CentOS is minimal.....and should be easy peasy to fix.
I got to know, if its going to be supported or not before i order the rest of the servers for our farm, as you might understand ![]()
Hope you can answer that for me.
EUREKA!
After upgrading kernel to 2.6.18-194.11.3.el5 IASC started to work in Centos 5.5 64bit.
Thanks to all.
Nmassi, thank you for letting us know of the workaround. I will pass this along to the dev team.
MB - S3210SH
CPU - E6850
OS - CENTOS 5.5 All Update.
Net - eth0, eth1, lo
Intel ASC - work.
BUT if I on bridge, reboot.
Net - eth0, eth1, lo, br0
ascpolicy - segfault.
IASC - doesn't work.
IASC - work, then no bridge module.
Intel ASC in not working. Lighttpd can not star't. When try to start it gives an error:
Iniciando lighttpd: 2010-07-12 13:20:11: (network.c.332) SSL: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0)
Any solution to this?
Thanks
