INTEL PROSET WIRELESS ISSUES

I’m currently having issues getting my wireless to connect. I’m trying to access wireless from another set up in my apt & I keep receiving the message : FAILED TO UPDATE PROFILE LIST PLEASE WAIT. & as it takes a while to try to update the intel proset wireless box shows, yet as soon as I see my connection & try to configure it this message comes up: ERROR OCCURED WHILE TRYING TO ACCESS THE PROFILE DATABASE. CLOSE DOWN THE APPLICATION & TRY AGAIN LATER. I’m wondering what does that mean? I’ve never had this issue before I’ve always been able to connect to the wireless in my home on to my laptop yet now this error message won’t allow me to get to the next tab which is to put in the security code, etc. in order to get online. If you will please tell me what the problem is & what I need to do in order to get this working properly I would appreciate it. Thank you.
