  • If Intel AppUp(SM) center functions properly while in Safe Mode then there is likely other application or security setting on your PC that is conflicting with or preventing the operation of the Intel AppUp(TM) client.  You can stop unnecessary services and programs from running when Windows boots using the MSCONFIG command (Warning - Disabling necessary services may cause your system to become unstable or unprotected!)
    1. Reboot Windows into Normal mode.
    2. Run MSCONFIG from a command prompt.
    3. Look for unnecessary services that are loading in Windows Startup and temporarily disable them until you can determine which one is causing the conflict with Intel AppUp(SM) center.

(Optional) Try installing Intel AppUp client on a second PC to see if you get the same results or if it works.
