The 6510b is not a vPRO ready system. All systems with a "p" at the end of them or a "w" at the end of them can come vPRO ready. (See the list above to determine which is the best fit for your requirements. You do have to order the system with vPRO because not all customers want it, although I don't understand why they wouldn't. That's a personal preference though.) If you buy your system without vPRO, you can't get it until you replace the system. It's not an add-on option after the purchase because of how the motherboard is built.
HP offers four different series of notebooks and three different series of desktops. I'll break out the notebooks first:
S - Standard - This is the entry level business class notebook and does not include any vPRO functionality
B - Business - This is typically targetted at SMB or Government that does not need advanced managability
P - Professional - This is the typical "Enterprise" class system that offers the option of vPRO as well as all of the higher end proc's as well as some models with discreet graphics.
W - Workstation - This is the high end graphics based with the advanced managability features like vPRO. This is for the mobile designer or CAD user or anyone who needs a full blown mobile workstation.
For Desktops, there are three series of systems:
2xxx - This is the entry level commercial desktop. This does not have vPRO capabilities and typically has a lifecycle of 9 - 12 months. (Orderability of the same part number during the lifecycle. Support goes on longer than that of course.)
5xxx - This is the SMB or mid level system. This also does not have vPRO capabilities but has a longer lifecycle. HP targets 12 - 15 months on this lifecycle but there is also a version of this system that has a lifecycle of 60 months. (Yeah, you read that right, 60 months. 
)
7xxx - This is the Enterprise class system with all the whistles and bells. vPRO capable (Again, you have to choose that configuration when you order it because not everyone wants it...) and the systems have a minimum of 15 a month lifecycle.

So what is the limitation of buying these HP Models without the "full blown Vpro" enabled on the HP boxes? I thought HP only had one box that was ready for Vpro - the 6510. I need to purchase 18 units now, and I can't wait, but I don't want to buy machines thinking they are "intel ready" for vpro and then find out it is a limited version that can't do everyhing I see in the Intel Video.
Please advise!
