Thank you for using the asus app store for Windows, powered by Intel AppUpSM center. On January 11th, 2012, a live update will be available to your asus app store that provides enhanced functionality for browsing, downloading and accessing your apps. During the upgrade the name of the store will change to the Intel AppUp center.
Below we have provided answers to questions you may have about this change.
Q: What do I have to do?
A: There are just a couple of simple steps to update your store. When you launch the store you will see the following notification: “Question: A new version of the store is available. Would you like to update now?”
- Click “Yes” to upgrade your store and launch the Intel AppUp center installer
- Follow the instructions to complete your installation
Q: I have a MeeGo version of the asus app store, does this apply to me to?
A: No. This only applies to stores running on Windows systems
Q: Will I have to set up a new user account?
A: No. Your existing account will still work in the Intel AppUp center. All you have to do is log in again.
Q: Will I lose the apps I downloaded through the asus app store?
A: No. All the apps that you purchased or downloaded in the past will still be available and you can re-download them. Just log in using your existing account and they will be in “My Apps”.
Q: Will I still be able to see my transaction history from the asus app store?
A: Yes. Your transaction history will still be available in your account profile. All you have to do is log in again.
Q: I purchased an app from the asus app store just before I upgraded to the Intel AppUp center? Now the “cancel purchase” option has disappeared but I am still within my 24 hour try before you buy period. I want to cancel the purchase, what do I need to do?
A: Please contact customers support using the links within your store and we will cancel the transaction for you and issue a refund if necessary.
Q: What will happen if I don’t upgrade?
A: The asus app center is using an older version of Intel AppUp software that is no longer fully supported. Your store may stop working or experience other issues as we update our systems over time.
