Intel IT compared the performance of two and four-socket servers with Intel quad-core processors in a virtualized environment. This virtualization benchmarking study looked at server performance, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and scalability for a variety of deployment scenarios. This paper discusses the results of our study.
