This white paper details how Intel IT has embarked on an enterprise-wide, eight-year strategy to transform our global data center environment. Utilizing virtualization, standardization and process improvements, we expect our strategy to achieve a cost savings of about $1 billion. Our goal is to run our data center much like we run our factories, with similar high levels of efficiency and responsiveness to business needs.
