We get asked this a lot: where on our media or web are the Intel® Ethernet drivers for ESX/ESXi?
Short answer:
For ESX/ESXi 3.5 – Go here!
For ESX/ESXi 4.x – Go here!
Long answer:
VMware drivers are tested and distributed by VMware, so you need to get it from them. We work very closely with them to make sure the drivers fully support Intel® Ethernet hardware. We also work with VMware to ensure they are making maximum use of our very useful hardware features like VMDq. If you have problems with your ESX/ESXi install when running with Intel® Ethernet, contact them first, if they can’t solve it, they will get us involved as needed.
