This is ground breaking.

What was once a "departmental server" - Xeon-based

and a "departmental database" - SQL Server* DB

 

Now deliver the fastest performing four socket solution on the planet.

Faster than any other architecture - including proprietary RISC, and faster than any other database.

 

If there was any doubt Intel Xeon could go head to head with big iron, it has been removed.
