What is IT Fluent information literacy skill?
With the explosion of the density of information available via the Internet today the skills necessary to access and filter through the immense quantity of available information are necessary for any individual to manage life efficiently in today's world. To sift through what is available, how to retrieve it and discern if it has a viable use in the moment has become a required skill. Internet security is a significant concern for the average online communicator. The information elite sector is comprised of those that have developed proficient skills to use critical thinking to employ information literacy to make quality business, personal and community decisions. If educational communities do not include curricular means to develop informational literacy skills in students then specific groups may rise to become overly powerful through technological advantage in our society.
