Copying the memory controller means of DMA.

Hello!
There were some problems when programming DMA(bas. 8237А) controller in copy memory mode(memory-to-memory). I ask for your help.
I'm trying to copy the physical memory. You must perform the second movement of the memory controller, as the x16 registers and the address range 16M. First, try to run through the first movement of memory controller as a test.
To verify the results of operations and loading initial data used by the mapping of the first page of physical memory by the function(OS: NT, Protected mode, Ring 0) MmMapIoSpace(), but not in this sense.
My Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000MK, CPU: P4
After reviewing the documentation on the controller has written the following code.

;

LATCHB EQU 83H
CLEAR_F EQU 0CH
CH0_A EQU 00H
CH1_A EQU 02H
CH0_C EQU 01H
CH1_C EQU 03H
MODE EQU 0BH
CMMD EQU 08H
MASKS EQU 0FH
REQ EQU 09H
STATUS EQU 08H

TRANSMIT PROC
PUSHFD ; Save IF
CLI
XOR AX,AX
OUT LATCHB,AL ; Page
OUT CLEAR_F,AL

OUT CH0_A,AL ; Source: 0x0000
OUT CH0_A,AL

MOV AL,16
OUT CH1_A,AL ; Destination: 0x000F
XOR AX,AX
OUT CH1_A,AL

MOV AL,32
OUT CH0_C,AL ; Length
XOR AX,AX
OUT CH0_C,AL

MOV AL,32
OUT CH1_C,AL
XOR AX,AX
OUT CH1_C,AL

MOV AL,88H
OUT MODE,AL ; Chanel 0, read, increment, blocks.

MOV AL,85H
OUT MODE,AL ; Chanel 1, write, increment, blocks.

MOV AL,1
OUT CMMD,AL ; Memory-to-memory

MOV AL,0CH
OUT MASKS,AL ; Unmask chanels 0, 1

; MOV AL,4
; OUT REQ,AL ; Request to chanel 0.
MOV AL,5
OUT REQ,AL ; Request to chanel 1.
@@:
; IN AL,STATUS
; TEST AL,1
; JZ @B
POPFD ; Restore IF
RET
TRANSMIT ENDP

;

As a result, this code does not work. The memory is filled with the value 0xFFFF.. The documentation for this mode(memory-to-memory) is described very briefly. Perhaps this mode is not supported..

I would like to see a working example or a detailed description of the programming mode.

Thank.

QPI voltage question - is mine too low?

I have a DP45SG with a Core 2 Duo E8400. Intel's Desktop Control Center shows my QPI Voltage at 1.05 and that this voltage is in the orangish-red area on my Monitoring gague. I'm not terribly familiar with QPI and how it fits into things, except that it's supposed to replace the FSB. I know that I'm suppose to have a QPI somewhere in the 1.12-1.15 range. Is this true? Do I have a problem since my QPI voltage is low?

I'm not experiencing any performance-related issues, other than the occasional single beep followed by a very short (almost cut off) second beep from the motherboar'd speaker about once or twice per day - still haven't figured that one out.

Thanks,

processor comparison for TV tuner card purchase

Due to my D100 DirecTV receiver pooping out I purchased a DirecTV HD receiver from Best Buy (does not record). It has HDMI, component, s-video, and composite outputs. Lacking is an F-connector output now. When I purchased my Dell XPS Gen5 Windows XP MCE 2005 desktop in 2005 it included an Emuzed TVT3 TV tuner card. It only has an F-connector and s-video inputs including audio inputs. Sometimes I record an old movie or want to record a TV show. I've extended my desktop onto a CRT TV and I use it as a monitor to replay what I may have recorded. However, the quality of the recording via Media Center is poor. I have located a TV tuner card made by AVerMedia AVerTV HD DVR MTVHDDVRR PCI-Express x1 Interface which shows two HDMI connectors. I am aware of the HDMI recording restrictions. At my age I have no interest in recording and/or bootlegging movies. I only want to improve the video of what I may legally record and watch at a latter time. I can't determine from the poor description if they are two inputs or one in and one out. The description specifies system requirements which notes Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz or equivalent AMD CPU. My processor is an Intel Pentium D 830 (3.0GHz) w/Dual Core Technology (whatever that is). I would appreciate knowing if my computer is capable of supporting this AVerMedia TV tuner card before purchasing? p.s. I read an article online regarding a KWorld TV tuner card with component video inputs but I can't locate where I could purchase one. Thanks for any help.
