I have a gigabyte X48 ds5 with a core 2 quad q9650 cpu and windows xp 32 Bit see's it as a pentium III Xeon 3.0ghz Winows Vista 64Bit just see's a 3.0 ghz cpu. I ran Intel Processor ID Utility and it says new processor and don't recognize any of the technology for the cpu. future cpu unable to identify.

How can I get my OS's to recognize this cpu so I can take advantage of all of its technology?

Pro Set adapter diagnostics ping test

Hi,

When running the Intel Pro Set diagnostics tool from my clients I notice that all tests pass except for the ping test. The ping test failure was specific to my dhcp server only. What does this failure mean?

My clients reach the dhcp server fine, apparenlty. Clients can lease addresses and release them at will and the dhcp server is always reachable from the client using ping. Wired interfaces and wireless interfaces can always get dhcp information readily so I am confused as to why the adapter diagnostics ping test fails.

Would you use a cloud computing service for overflow processing?

I was talking today to a colleague who was interested in putting a computing cluster (over 100 servers) to work providing an "overflow service", meaning that users or companies that need extra processing for large occaisional jobs could ship them to this cluster.

Is there anyone in the audience who would make use of such a service? How would you want to use it?

I installed a intel NIC 82541PI for windows professional XP with serivce pack 3. It works very well with 10/100/1G these days. But now I'm testing a model and wanting to it works with 100M, so I don't find the way to change it.

Other's brand NIC has a Advanced option, but it doesn't have it.

Please help me to do this.

AMT 2.6.3 client not able out off band provisioning

We are using AMT 2.6.3 Clients and cannot do out of Band provisioning.

We know that we can only psk mode out off Band provisiong and not in Band.

All settings are set succesfull WS-MAN/AdminUI /SCCM/PPS-PID/MEBX (we are provisioning a lot of clients every day without issues AMT 3.2.1).

But at this Clients (Notebooks >not able to update to newer version AMT) we see at the Amtopmgr.log that the SCCM connect to the WS-MAN Translator is succesfull, at the translator.log I could see the clients without any error logs but we can't do out of Band provisioning? Verbose logging on WS-MAN translator is enabled! All OOB fixe from Microsoft are installed.

Ive come accross some information about genetic altering.

there is so much that can be done with these genetics especialy with the processor..

These things are all calc now.. but in some years... the applications are infinite..

what can i do on a calc... hehe decode binary streams and watch them on my monitor.. lol

Containerized Data Centers - Chat with the Experts

A server, a rack, a row, thinking outside the box for the next scalable server unit brings us to the container. The Summer 2008 Premier IT magazine features an article (Containers Everywhere link to [http://ipip.intel.com/go/containers-everywhere/|http://ipip.intel.com/go/containers-everywhere/]) about the ICE Cube, a containerized data center built by Rackable Systems. Just published on June 1, the article describes a mobile data center that can accommodate up to 1,400 servers. But that's already out of date. On Monday, Rackable announced five new ultra-dense servers, one sku built specially for the ICE Cube that will double the number of servers in the 40-ft flavor to 2,800. That's a lot of compute power in a small space! I'll do the math...2,800 servers x 2 processors each x 4 cores per processor....that's 22,400 cores in something that looks as inconspicuous as a delivery truck.

The article specifically calls out areas in financial services, oil & gas and government that could immediately take advantage of the ICE Cube. Among all the most famous PC newspapers and magazines, half of the computer failures are caused by dust and cooling. New frame fully defends those faults, making manufactures concentrate on the product of hardware itself, but not provide too much after-sales service.

We can design a wide range of cooling equipment for the user to choose, through the spring or magnet slot in the case side of the adsorption. If the design of the windmill made of metal, Christmas tree can cross over to place, design a swimming pool, golf course ... ... meet the needs of different consumer groups. The replacement of individual users of CPU cycles may be 4-6 years, and personalized cooling equipment replacement cycle will be fast, it is foreseeable that this is a piece of the lucrative market.

This structure has many advantages, in line with the trend of the future development of the computer and personalization. I believe it will set off the launch of a new wave of computer buying.
