(I think they call it memory correction)

Thanks !

WantsECConDX58SO2.

Some observations:

The new DX58SO2 bios 0888 contains an updated ICH10 RAID Option ROM (OROM) to version 11.0.0.1339 as per release notes:

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/20863/eng/SO2_0888_ReleaseNotes.pdf

This means that it is possible to use Intel RST driver version 11.0.0.1032, which requires (is this really mandatory?) OROM version 11.0.0.1339:

http://www.station-drivers.com/telechargement/intel/sata/release_notes11001032.htm

I am waiting for RST 11.0.0.1032 to be downloadable directly from Intel's website before upgrading; for now I stay on RST 10.8.

Incidently RST 11.5.0.1109 Alpha Version can be found here: http://www.station-drivers.com/telechargement/intel/sata/11.5.htm .

Since this release mentions OROM version 11.5.0.1111, I assumme that Intel will have to release new bios for DX58SO2 in the coming months?

RST 11.5 are supposed to bring TRIM support to SSDs in RAID 0: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Intel-RST-SSD-TRIM-RAID,14048.html

Hope this is of use to someone.

Toad

Hi,

Just upgraded my DX58SO2 BIOS from 0876 to latest 0888. The upgrade (from within Windows 7 64-bit) went fine without problems.

Normally I am never in a rush to upgrade to a bios version which is just out. But I was having problems with my WS 1TB SATA HDD being invisible after waking from Sleep mode in Windows 7. I also upgraded to latest chipset drivers v9.3 and also to Intel RST 10.8 drivers, both from Intel website. Problem seems to have dissapeared after a few tests (i keep my fingers crossed).
