Just purchased an ASUS P8P67 Pro rev 3.1. I took my boot drive (with XP Pro) and did a repair proceedure so that I would not have to re-install everything again. I put the bios at IDE instead of AHCI since I knew that my current copy of XP pro would not have the necessary AHCI driver. Everything went well.

When I try to update the chipset with the IRST_V10501026 chip set (from the ASUS support site) or the infinst911autol.exe from the intel support site, I get the above error (Computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software).

Am I using the wrong driver update for my chipset, which I believe is the P67 Express Chipset.

I do not intend to install a RAID...just want to get the AHCI driver at some point.

My XP Pro is fully patched with the latest service packs.

Any ideas around this issue or is there a different chipset update that I should be downloading and installing?
