Well,it's not impossible, but I don't know of anyone who has done collective debugging with SCC cores. You might take a look at

http://www.eclipse.org/ptp/

The ptp stands for parallel tools platform and the last I heard (it's been a while) that group has been investigating many-core debugging.

Wouldn't that be true for MPI as well? But we can do that in MPI so I think there should be a way for RCCE too.

I believe that is not possible. Each core is independent (cores do not share any state), so "collective" debugging seems impossible.

Hi,

I have came accross threads where example is given of how to use gdb with scc, but the example only uses one core. so my question: is it possible to use it with >1 core. and if yes can some one give a simple example?
