I marked the bug FIXED. I did see the crash when I invoked sccGui under Konsole but not when I invoked in under Terminal. Please look at the bug for details.

Please make yourself a Bugzilla account and track it there.

I can VNC into DC machines without this problem. What we can do is login as you, (temporarily change your pw), watch what happens and adjust your configuration as appropriate. I see your account on marc022. Is that correct. Not all the cores are booted and your login is from May 18. Please pick a time (I'm PDT, West Coast, USA) and post it in the bug's comment and I'll reboot your system and check out VNC for you.

Best to file a bug under Marc Adminstration Needed. I'll forward your request, but it's quicker to use Bugzilla yourself.

now everything works! not really sure what happened..

the speed is very acceptable using sccGui with VNC
