I'd like to buy the ASROCK Z68 Pro3-M board.

Can anynoe esle confirm that issue solved with the new BIOS?

Asrock posted a new Bios with a fixed voltage setting. Now it's 1,250 IGP Voltage in Idle/2D instead 0,800 Voltage. Maybe the voltage was too low and caused the instability. You might try the new Bios 1.60.

sorry for my bad english...

Got the same errors multiple times. AsRock Pro3-m / I5 2500k

Managed to solve the Problem:

There are 3 Pins (+5V, - ,GND) for the Reset SW connector on my Board. My case had a 2 Pin (+5V,GND) connector. So it doesn't fit... It could be that you made the same mistake

I unplug this connectors and the errors didn't return till now (3 Days).

I have the same problem, tried driver from AsRock Setup-Disc and from Intel

Setup:

AsRock Z68 Pro3 (BIOS 1.40)

Intel i5-2500

Windows 7 64bit

24" LCD @ 60Hz over DVI

Thanks David. I'm returning the ASRock and getting an ASUS Z68 motherboard instead. Hope it treats me better!

I'm just gonna have to point finger at Asrock here. Page 1 has the Asrock H67, and rest of the posts as Asrock Z68. Intel H67+2600K, no crashes since Jan 2011, which is the release month and close to when I bought the CPU.

Robert, can you please confirm:

1. Timeline for the driver update

2. What is the level of confidence about the fix?

3. Is this only an ASRock issue? I have a brand new build, and would prefer to change to a different motherboard provider if that would resolve the issue

I would just like to chime in and add that I am facing the same problem. I am using the ASRock Z68 Pro3 with Intel Core i5 2500K and no discrete graphics card. This is extremely infuriating.

Is this just an ASRock issue? Can't Intel at least confirm this?

Hi,

i don´t know if the solution with 75hz helps since non of my monitors are able to work with 75hz.

Momentarily I use an old pci-e graphics card as i really had to work on my maschine.

There are two reasons that I wanted to buy this kind of cpu:

1. Save power during desktop mode

2. not using a discrete gpu for at least 6 month

3. save power with Virtue from Lucidlogix

However here is what I got:

1. Non of the above +

2. Random crashes during desktop related applications if I use the HD3000 which I don´t anymore. No! this should not be the solution provided.

3. No support.

I do understand that it is very hard to understand our problems as we probably are a minority but... I will complain more and more aggressivly if there is no progress developing a solution because I also understand that a thread-view-count of more than 7000 is not so little afterall. Maybe there is more to it. Also Other threads suggest that the HD3000 needs to be taken care of asap.

I wish I could help more but... I can not.

My temporary solution is to use a discrete gpu.
